DJ HENRY KNOWLES

Known as the world’s top Latin music DJ, with over 35 years experience in the music and entertainment industry.

Henry’s passion for Latin music together with his versatile music library in various music genres (not only Latin music) and ability to read his audience, translates in his work, making this very special disc jockey's mixing abilities unmatched and respected worldwide.

Most notably known for working in the most famous nightclubs and venues in New York City as far back as the early 1980’s, such as the world-famous Copacabana, which averaged between 2500-4000 people on Tuesday nights.

Henry has appeared as DJ for audiences over 25,000 people and has opened massive events for some of the biggest names in Latin music history, such as: Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Aventura, Elvis Crespo and many others. For several years in Latin Quarter nightclub (NYC), Henry was featured weekly mixing for live radio broadcast on the world’s most important Latin radio station “La Mega-WSKQ-FM 97.9” which reached millions of listeners. La Mega radio station also featured many of Henry’s mixes during lunchtime show of Paco’s SuperMix.

In 1994, Henry’s requests for DJ appearances abroad began to take more frequency and is the very first Latin music DJ to appear on a global scale and known for setting higher standards for DJ’s in major Latin music events. He has appeared in over 85 countries and 850 cities, regions & islands throughout the world. Knowles has also been recognized worldwide for his work as official DJ, for the very first Salsa congresses held around the world; most notably being the official Bacardi DJ for the Bacardi World Salsa Congress, launched in Puerto Rico1997.

Henry Knowles worked as official DJ for all movie premieres, held in Toronto, Los Angeles, NYC and Puerto Rico, for the film El Cantante with Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony (2006), fund raisers & corporate events for organizations such as Goya Foods, UNISYS, Bloomberg, Aspira, Cielo Latino, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Roberto Cavalli, Latin Grammys, Latina Magazine, Bacardi and NYC Lincoln Center…  just to name a few.

In 1997, Henry Knowles first appeared in Asia at Shinagawa Intercity Hall-Tokyo, Japan.

Since then, he has appeared at an immense amount of venues and events in Australia, Dubai, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea & Turkey… and much more.

In Thailand (where he has been based for past 7 years), Henry is known for his work at popular venues such as;

Bed Supper Club, Guilty, Catch Beach Club, SEEN Beach Club Samui, SEEN Roooftop, Pastel Rooftop, Above Eleven, Bed Supper Club, Havana Social, Catch Beach Club Phuket, Flamenco @ Emquatier Mall, Ku De Ta, The Club At Koi, Revolution Cocktail, Zense, Ocean Emerald Luxery Yacht-Phuket, Havana Bar Pattaya, Abar @ Marriot Marquis, Sabai Cruise Bangkok, Siam@Siam Sky Bar, amBar, Mexicano and Salsa Bangkok Fiesta for past 14 years.

December 2019 and 2022, DJ Henry Knowles appeared at the famous Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand with Havana Social.

Appearances in Thailand include many private events in 5 Star luxury hotels such as; Manadarin Oriental Hotel, Shangri La Hotel, Siam Kempinski Hotel, Dusit Thani Hotel, Sheraton Royal Orchid, etc…

Henry Knowles is owner of an entertainment company in Thailand and is constantly booked for private events by organizations such as British Woman’s Group, UN Woman’s Group, Mexican Embassy, Austrian Embassy, Belgium Embassy, US Embassy, Wedding Bliss, Sports Clubs, and many more.

Henry has trained several DJ’s, and eight DJ’s are working currently for his company, which are booked weekly for various venues, such as; nightclubs, sky bars, pool parties and other events.
